dividend increase

I think the ideas here are great. I would like to see them too

I'm hanging out here. That would be really great.
In other words, not the increase in the dividend paid out (it already exists) but the growth of the dividend yield over the entire portfolio as an average of the last x years.
Then possibly also with extrapolation to the next x years. With the same savings rate, etc...

Growth (change) of personal dividend yield

I would like the personal dividend yield to be shown not only as a percentage since the beginning, but also per year. The absolute dividends in EUR are already shown, as is the growth, but I am more interested in the personal return in% or the growth here over time

Björn Beier Good morning Björn, in addition to the already mentioned dividend increases across all assets, I would also find interesting by what percentage my dividends are likely to rise in the following year. The absolute value is already shown in the dividend calendar, perhaps you could simply add the percentage as well?
Björn Beier
Hey! I'd like to watch this feature again here with you (as the suggestion is older). Attached are two screenshots.
We are already showing the dividend increase per year (in%) - that is simply the dividends received in the portfolio per year.
Below, we show dividend growth per share over the last 3 and 5 years (CAGR).
Does this basically fulfill the feature request or is there something missing here? If something is still missing, can you explain again exactly which key figure is involved?

Björn Beier for me, a dividend evaluation based on individual positions would be more interesting (e.g. accumulated dividends/accum. Purchase amounts ➡️ How much of my investment has already been repaid through dividends?) ; gladly ranked and filterable.
Björn Beier
Max : Okay, thanks - but does that have to do with the proposed feature here? It's more something else, isn't it?

Björn Beier So I guess it means that you have an ad that has the annual yield and the total dividend increase across the entire portfolio. As an example, I have 30 shares and the figures are between 1 and 8 percent dividend. If I take them all proportionally by weighting and calculate the average, it turns out, for example, that I will currently have a return of 4 percent. Should I continue to buy, you can track how the yield rises with higher dividend yields or falls when I buy stocks below 4 percent. Currently, you only ever have the return of the last 12 months in terms of capital invested. If I have bought more dividend stocks recently, I must first wait 12 months to get an average price of the portfolio.
The same for growth. How high is my dividend growth in relation to all stocks? A few have 3 percent a few over 10. On average, the return grows by, for example, 7 percent per year. If I buy a lot of high-growth stocks now, for example, I have a higher expected dividend growth.
That's how I understood it and I would like it myself 🤭 and hope that I've been understood now 😂
Greetings:)

Björn Beier Good morning, yes that would be a great thing. To see the average dividend increase in the portfolio...
Because from this, you could easily make a forecast of how many times in dividends could be received in subsequent years (up to max. 15 years, for example). Clear crystal ball reading, but super motivator. That, taking into account a saving/investment rate (theoretical assumption of share purchases), would be a great thing and also a motivator for long-term investing.
Best regards

Björn Beier I think you can solve this in various ways, which is probably faster and would be cool, first screenshot. It also fits there thematically.
Even a nice solution (screenshot 2) as DivvyDiary solved, is probably a bit more complex, shows a bit something else and you just have to look at where or how something like that could fit in.

Björn Beier Hi - yes that is different, but in my opinion much more important!

Björn Beier correct, not exactly the same but related...

Björn Beier: For me, this function would actually be extremely interesting in that I can see yoy and also in the complete timeline how my DIV return has changed. It is currently great to see that per share and also in the dividend range in nominal and percentage terms compared to the previous year, but what I am also missing is this information about the “real” dividend increase across the entire portfolio. I am extremely second-income driven and therefore the trade off between high dividend shares but also the DIV kings/aristocrats is important. Similar to general rebalancing in the portfolio, I would like to see how which position contributes to the Div return success in order to draw conclusions for acquisitions, sales and new investments.

Yep, would be really helpful (good feature) - month/quarter/year/since purchase/individually selectable
