There are different tax rules in Austria. If the performance is only calculated with FIFO, then it is wrong for your users in Austria. In Austria, the average entry prices for sales are always taxed. It would therefore be great if you had the option to calculate the performance based on the average price as well.

Björn Beier Lifo not, but American employee shares can be directly selected which share/allocation should be sold (RSU, ESPP, etc.). So not always the oldest parts. Alternatively, you could also consider investing shares as a separate holding company in terms of tangible assets (e.g. share Xy from 01/2026) then they can also be sold individually...

It's just a shame! A large target group is simply ignored... it is better to tinker with another function instead of solving a basic problem that is a knockout for all AT customers

For me personally, this is actually the main reason why I don't have a Plus subscription. (Since I still have to use my - but quite advanced - Calc for correct numbers anyway, Parqet only runs incidentally.)
As an Austrian, every position with partial sales is simply wrong and distorts every metric.
It's extremely unfortunate because otherwise I really like Parqet and with this feature I would immediately sign up for a plus subscription and retire my Calc with a kiss of the hand!

Therefore, as a supplement for the future, we can set the profile to Austria to display certain things differently z.b. taxes, etc.

What is the current situation with the FIFO/LIFO/average function?
I'm just considering whether it's worth taking out a Plus subscription again next year. If it comes next year, I would definitely complete it again because otherwise I am very satisfied except for the few disadvantages for Austrians such as the average procedure and the reinvested accumulations manually although PDFs exist for a possible import, but unfortunately this is not possible.

Unfortunately I can't promise you LIFO/average for next year. So it's best to make your decision in such a way that we can positively surprise you when in doubt so that we can't meet your expectations.

A few days ago I took out a one-year subscription to Parqet — and would first like to pay you a big compliment: The software is visually appealing, user-friendly and offers excellent analysis options. I was particularly pleased that it is also possible to import Erste Bank data in Austria, as I have several deposits there.
Unfortunately, when entering the first positions, I found that the tax logic based on the German FIFO principle is leading to incorrect results for us Austrians. In Austria, the average pricing method applies — as a result, both the income rates and the calculated gains/losses differ significantly from the actual tax value.
This makes a proper historical analysis impossible as soon as part sales are included in a position. In practical terms, this means that if you want to use Parqet wisely, you have to enter a completely new position after each sale — with a manually calculated average price and without historical evaluation.
This is very frustrating for Austrian (and also Swiss) users, especially given the many functions that Parqet actually offers. The import of Erste Bank data already shows your willingness to be active in the Austrian market as well. I hope all the more that you will address this structural problem soon.
A possible first step would be to at least allow the manual entry of realized gains/losses in the activity view. In this way, we could record our tax-correct values — even without automatic calculation — and use Parqet at least halfway sensibly.
I like to remain a customer for the time being because I am convinced of your product. But for customers from Austria, a solution to this problem is crucial in order to be able to use Parqet effectively in the long term.
